The Infinix Hot 9 Play is the more affordable version of the Infinix Hot 9 smartphone. This is also the first device from Infinix to features 6000 mAh Battery. Infinix Hot 9 Play features a 6.82-inch display and three rear cameras.

So the smartphone top selling point is the battery and it also has a bigger screen display size as well. Below are the phone specifications and the price.

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 9 Play still maintains a decent body design just like the standard Hot 9. It has an attractive body design that is built with a combination of glass and polycarbonate material.

The smooth panel on the back has the cameras set up, an LED flash, and also a fingerprint scanner placed on the usual position. It measures 171.8 x 78 x 8.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 209 grams.

On the front, it has a large screen display size of 6.82 inches IPS LCD display that offers a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels and 263 PPI density. As you can see, it has a waterdrop notch instead of the small round-shaped cutout on the Hot 9.

The screen is equipped with display protection which will protect it against scratch and cracks and also increase its durability.

Camera

On the camera department, the Infinix Hot 9 Play has a single 8MP snapper on the notch for both selfies and video calling. Meanwhile, the rear camera is three in number. This consists of 13 MP with another 0.3 MP shooter and an additional QVGA low light sensor.

The camera comes with a triple LED flash for low background photos and it also has other internal features such as panorama, and HDR that will enhance the overall photos. You can record up to 2K videos quality at 30 seconds per frame even on the front camera.

Hardware and Software

The Infinix Hot 9 Play comes in two different chipsets and storage. The standard has a Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset with a Quad-core 2.0 GHz processor and PowerVR GE8300 for graphics.

There is also another variant that is slightly higher and it comes with a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset coupled with an octa-core processor running at a speed of 1.8 GHz.

It has an internal storage of 32GB with 2GB RAM, while the octa-core chip has up to 3GB RAM + 32GB, another with 64GB + 4GB RAM and you can also expand both units via micro SDcard. The first has Android 9.0 Pie Go Edition while the bigger model has standard Android 90 Pie.

Battery Power and Network Connectivity

The Infinix Hot 9 Play has a non-removable battery of 6000 mAh which promises to keep the device on for many days. Sadly the juicer does not have fast charging technology.

However, with the recommended charger, it won’t take long for the phone to full. There are dual SIMs and 4G LTE network on the inside. It also has GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio and many more.

Infinix Hot 9 Play Price and Availability

Infinix Hot 9 Play price in Nigeria starts at around 52,500 Naira (around $135). In Ghana, it will cost around 650 Ghs and 12,500 Ksh in Kenya. You can order it in Midnight Black, Quetzal Cyan, Violet, and Ocean Wave colors.
